Crackle Base, Black is an 80-mesh opaque vitreous enamel powder offering a deep, rich tone that fires to a dense, even finish. As an opaque enamel, it provides full coverage and is well suited for cloisonnﾃｩ, champlevﾃｩ and painterly layering over copper, silver or gold. This enamel is acid-resistant. A crackle base enamel that produces a decorative crackled surface when overlaid and fired. This enamel is lead-free. Supplied as a fine powder, net weight 60 g, packed in a 60 mm round tin.
